The Pathways To Resilience Trust

The Pathways to Resilience Trust was established in August 2007 and was founded on the innovative vision and life-work of Professor Paula Barrett for charitable purposes. The Trust aims to aid in the treatment and prevention of anxiety and depression in children through early intervention, and in turn, decrease the      incidence of youth suicide.

The Trust primarily endeavours to achieve these goals by implementing the world-renowned cognitive-behavioural therapy programs (Fun FRIENDS and FRIENDS for Life) in Australian schools in areas of economic disadvantage, Indigenous, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, thereby strengthening the social, educational and cultural lives of these areas and contributing to future economic prosperity of Australian society.

The Trust is offering to run teacher in-services in eligible schools free of charge, in both the Fun FRIENDS and FRIENDS for Life programs. The Trust will also give workshops in our Woolloongabba office in 2009, for the dates of our workshops, you can check the agenda on our website.

If you work in a school or childcare centre which meets the above criteria, you can download an information letter and application form here.
